A pitching machine is used and placed at 40’.

The pitching machine allows for increased pace of play and pitch accuracy.

Each team will be required to throw 3 pitchers per game (9 total for tournament). Pitching mounds/targets will be in close proximity and located between fields 3 and 4. Games are 3 innings, allowing for each team to throw 1 pitcher per inning. As a team takes the field for defense, their selected pitcher will head to the RapidBaseball "pen".

Pitchers will compete by throwing into a 9-Pocket pitching target. 43' distance

Each pitcher will throw 30 pitches

Pitchers will be scored based on accuracy by throwing into the 9-pocket pitching target. 1 point for strikes thrown into outer pockets. 3 points for strikes thrown into center/middle pocket.

A teams total pitching score will reflect the total of their 9 pitchers scores throughout the 3 games.

Tournament will provide a full time pitching score keeper.

3 innings (60 minutes). Visiting and Home teams both bat all three innings.

Each team gets 10 minutes to bat.

Each inning is approximately 20 minutes.

Timer starts for team batting at first pitch of half inning.

Batter will continue to finish AB if 10 minutes runs out.

3 pitches maximum per batter. Batter can continue to foul off 3rd strike.

Bases are quickly cleared after defense records 3 outs. Offense continues to bat until 10 minutes is up.

A half inning is not complete until 10 minutes is up.

Each team may only steal a maximum of two (2) times per half inning.

Only one (1) stolen base per player per game.

Defense plays with all 9 players. Player playing “pitcher” will stand on Right/Left side of pitching machine.

Cones shall be placed on both sides to safely position pitcher from machine.

USSSA and USA certified bats are approved.

Awards given to 3 teams leading in the following categories over all three games:

1) Silver Slugger Award: Team with most runs scored for tournament

2) Golden Glove Award: Team with most put outs for tournament

3) Cy Young Award: Pitching competition. Additional information above.
